The inner urge

This post contains unpaid advertising.

Sitting at the desk and writing a blog post again. It feels like it's been ages. Real life has been really in the foreground over the last few weeks and has left hardly any time for anything else. While some of us are happy that the first month of the new year is finally over, as the days have dragged on like chewing gum, I'm just happy about it because things are finally starting to relax a bit for me again.

Important meetings at work, the Premium trade fair in Berlin and the blickfang in Hamburg were recently on my agenda. All things that I was honestly really looking forward to after the relaxed days in December. Finally doing something again. I like that. I feel like I've been carrying the inner urge to tackle things around with me my whole life. Just sitting still and doing nothing isn't really my thing. So it doesn't surprise me at all that there's a Kolorat color chart next to me and I'm scouring Pinterest for all kinds of inspiration. After all, you could change something in the Himmelloft again...

"Since we moved in, hardly anything has changed in our apartment." That's what I said to Felix recently. He then proved me wrong. We changed the carpet in the living room, replaced our dining room chairs and painted some walls. That's something we really enjoy doing. Painting. If we ever run out of jobs, we'll just offer our painting skills. The next room to go is our office. Up until now, it's been neglected and hasn't really served any purpose other than to house our desk. And I think the room has so much potential. Various slopes, beams and angles would probably force some people to say that the room is rather difficult to decorate. But that's exactly the kind of room I like best. In my opinion, it can create a certain coziness. And that's exactly what we're aiming for now. To create a room that you just enjoy spending time in. After all, what else do you have it for? To use it as a storage room? Nope. I'm not a fan of that at all, and luckily we don't have anything to store it in. So we're currently brainstorming ideas and I'll share our plans with you.

But that's not all! I've been talking about painting our kitchen wall for ages. Nothing has happened yet, which is also due to the busy last few weeks. But it won't be long before the wall will shine in new splendor. In connection with this, a new product will also go live in our online shop, which I'm really looking forward to.

Speaking of the online shop! There's been a lot going on there in the last few months. Three new products were launched recently. It's amazing! We only really realized the whole thing recently at the blickfang trade fair, where we were exhibiting with Wohnglück Design. The moment the stand was set up on Friday morning was the first time I realized that we are a label and that we make small furniture. It might sound a bit strange to you, but seeing all the furniture compressed into one space gave me goosebumps. And as you should know me by now, you know that it won't stop there. The thoughts and ideas are already circling again, but more on that another time. What I definitely don't want to keep from you in this context is the 10% discount that we have on all products in our online shop today and tomorrow. Yay! So feel free to hop over!

But that's not all! A new DIY will be online very soon. I'll tell you that it's something for the bedroom. More on that soon. You see, the tingling in my fingers is back and a lot is going to happen in the sky loft. Of course I'll take you along on the journey, because if I'm completely honest, I really missed writing posts. But maybe the little break was just right to start again with new ideas.
