HAY is a Danish design brand founded in Copenhagen in 2002 by Mette and Rolf Hay. Since then, it has focused on modern furniture, accessories, and home textiles. In the early 2000s, the label quickly gained international attention for its affordable, minimalist design. In 2005, HAY began collaborating with brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, who designed iconic products such as the "Palissade" garden furniture set. The collaboration with Jaime Hayon, for example, on the playful "Palace" seating group, was also influential. A milestone was the opening of the first HAY store in New York in 2012, followed by additional flagship stores in Europe and Asia. Today, HAY is known worldwide for its blend of Scandinavian purity and colorful joie de vivre.
