Rail-mounted shelving systems were first popularized by Scandinavian furniture makers in the early 1930s. Soon after, numerous architects and designers presented their own designs, which became integral parts of the "Mid-Century Modern" movement. The "Shelf Library System," developed by Kim Richardt for FRAMA and first presented in 2016, is a sophisticated interpretation of this tradition with its own distinct design language – a completely modular system suitable for any space.
