AAC 221 combines the formal presence of a four-star swivel base with the soft elegance of a fully upholstered shell. The gently curved backrest is higher than other models in the series and, together with the generous seat and subtle armrests, provides comfortable support – without taking up too much space under the table. The 360° rotatable base allows you to stay flexible, whether in the meeting room, home office, or dining room. Thanks to numerous upholstery fabrics and various frame finishes, you can adapt the chair to your surroundings. Hee Welling (b. 1974) studied at the University of Art and Design Helsinki and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2003, he founded his own studio in Copenhagen. He became known for chair series such as About A Chair and Soft Edge, which impress with their clear proportions, technical finesse, and international simplicity.
