Stool | Shoemaker Chair

A true classic from 1936 - made in Denmark, where it is still produced today by our local carpentry workshop.
The seat, with its anatomically shaped curves, is made from a large, solid piece of wood.
Due to the naturally varying wood grain, each Shoemaker Chair™ is unique. The rounded chair legs, together with the stabilizing T-joint, create a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture with strong ties to Nordic design.
The design appears quite simple, but it presents a significant craftsmanship challenge. The piece of wood for the seat must be cut very precisely to achieve maximum comfort.
At the end of the production process, each chair is finished by hand before undergoing the three-stage process of staining or oiling.
